Financial Accountant - Slough, Office-Based - Circa £55,000

The Financial Accountant will mainly be responsible for supporting the Finance Director at the organisation to produce their Month End, Year End, and Statutory Accounts, and continuously ensure a strong environment of Financial Control.
Being a strong communicator and capable in Excel and accounting software is integral to the success of any potential applicants, so please be aware that these skills will be tested throughout the interview process.
The Successful Finance Manager will:
- Provide an efficient and effective accounting service¸ including high quality financial advice & guidance
- Assist with all aspects of development and effective operation of financial systems and procedures
- Ensure that the FD and the Trustees are kept informed of the financial performance of the organisation through regular preparation, analysis and reporting of monthly accounts
- Develop, lead, and manage the submission of VAT Returns
- Maintain a highly visible and professional profile within the organisation
- Be an important part of producing the year end accounts and heavily involved in the audit process
To be successful
- You will be a qualified / finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Accountant with several years' working experience
- You will possess excellent accounting systems and excel knowledge
- You will have the ability to build, maintain and develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- The key to success here is to be enthusiastic, detailed, and passionate about numbers and process improvement
