Senior Accountant - Finance and Accounting Manager Hybrid

Our client is a dynamic and growing FMCG company committed to achieving excellence in financial management. We're currently seeking a Senior Accountant - Finance and Accounting Manager to join our dedicated team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to play a pivotal role in our financial strategy and contribute to our continued success. This role would suite candidates that are looking to step up into a Financial Controller / Financial Director role in 18months time.
As a Senior Accountant - Finance and Accounting Manager you will take on a multifaceted role with responsibilities that span accounting, financial management, and strategic planning. You'll work closely with senior leadership to ensure financial stability, enhance profitability, and drive our organization's growth.
- Prepare monthly Management Accounts and reports for group companies, including thorough account reconciliations.
- Monitor bank account balances and maintain strong communication with financial institutions.
- Manage foreign currency transactions, including currency purchases and swaps to facilitate supplier payments.
- Provide leadership and supervision to other members of the accounts function, ensuring smooth operations.
- Accurately record financial transactions for the department and company.
- Establish and maintain financial policies and robust management information systems.
- Collaborate across departments, offering support through ad hoc reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Analysis of financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning and forecasts.
- Offer expert advice on the financial implications of business decisions, enabling informed choices.
- Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers, bridging the gap between finance and other functions.
- Maintain financial records and support auditing efforts.
- Take charge of annual statutory account and company budget production.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of 6 years' practical experience in finance and accounting.
- Qualified Accountant with ACCA, AC, or CIMA certification.
- Experience in preparing Management Accounts.
- Strong technical accounting ability and proficiency in Microsoft products.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A dedicated team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CRM applications like Navision/Microsoft Dynamics (beneficial).
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of financial regulations and business operations.
- Knowledge of business strategy and methodology.
- Critical thinking and the ability to make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in explaining complex financial information in a clear and understandable way.
Salary £60,000 - £73,000 plus bonus
Location Ascot, Berkshire. Hybrid 3 days a week in the office
